Challenging Corporate Responsibility in Israel
Throughout the western world, civil organizations are calling upon corporations to consider their impact on society, yet the efforts of their Israeli counterparts mostly remain state-oriented. The Corporate Social Responsibility Institute will promote a new state of affairs in Israel, raising awareness and encouraging a broad public debate on the responsibility corporations have for the effects their policies, actions and behavior have on the general public.
A New Multidisciplinary Approach
The new Institute will be unique among other organizations of its kind throughout the world, in that it will be based within a law school, rather than a business management school, and will receive the benefit of input from several other disciplines, business management in particular.
Through a dynamic and interdisciplinary approach that emerges from the Center's years of experience within the fields of law and business administration, the Institute will focus on the Israeli society within a global business world, while raising vital issues that transcend international borders.

Ethics and Human Values within the Professional World
Since its inception, the Academic Center of Law and Business has emphasized the principles of social justice and human rights. In the same tradition, the Institute will stress the crucial importance of ethics and human values within the legal and business professions, and highlight the ways in which education and institutional accountability can effect positive social change.
Independent and Objective Academic Research
While other organizations that focus on social responsibility draw financial support from within the business world and thus remain subject to their interests, the Institute will provide an independent and objective academic framework. Through rigorous research and in-depth debate, the Institute aims to promote the general public's welfare by holding the business world to a new and higher standard.
