The College of Law and Business is dedicated to preparing the next generation of Israeli lawyers and businesspeople for the challenges of the 21st century.
For over 18 years, we have combined the highest levels of academic excellence with a strong focus on social outreach to cultivate leaders who champion the values of excellence, professionalism and human rights.
Our stellar faculty members are leaders in their industries, and have acquired their doctoral degrees and have pursued their post-doctorates at the finest universities in the world including Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, NYU, Berkeley, Chicago and Oxford. They are an integral part of the vibrant academic arena at CLB, in which cutting-edge research, stimulating workshops, scholarly publications and international conferences take place.
At CLB we pride ourselves on our diverse student body, personal care of each student, and a friendly and supportive environment that allows each individual to achieve their very best. By the time students exit our doors, they are fully-equipped to acquire advanced degrees or take on the professional arena, and our graduates earn among the highest salaries in the State of Israel.
As a non-profit, self-supporting institution, the CLB, situated in the heart of Ramat-Gan's business center, is committed to providing scholarship opportunities for students in need. We also believe in giving back to the community, through our legal clinics, tutoring programs and mentoring activities, where students receive hands-on experience that enables them to make an impact on the real world. As a leader in the development of legal clinics in Israeli law schools, CLB's legal clinic for Human Rights recently set an important - national and international - precedent striking down an Israeli law allowing for the privatization of prisons. We have also established Israel's first center for Corporate Social Responsibility, meeting the needs of today's business world.
We invite you to join us at CLB, where we are nurturing the future leaders of Israel and the successful members of a global society.
Honor in Changing Societies
The workshop will focus on the ways in which honor and dignity are shaped in changing societies – societies that undergo population shifts, governmental changes, ideological swings, and constitutional or legal alterations. Some of the best scholars in the various relevant disciplines will gather in the workshop to discuss honor in changing societies.
