CLB Legal Clinics for Human Rights
The College of Law and Business operates 9 legal clinics as part of its Human Rights Program. Supervised by experienced faculty members, our students gain invaluable field experience by providing aid and representation to the community and helping to advance social issues in Israel. CLB's legal clinic for Human Rights recently set an important - national and international - precedent striking down an Israeli law allowing for the privatization of prisons.
CLB Human Rights Clinics was presented with the Gurney prize, an award presented by the Association for Public Law in Israel to human rights organizations that have initiated significant social change in the Israeli legal system.

THE CLINIC FOR MIGRANTS' RIGHTS

The Clinic for Migrants' Rights deals with all aspects of the phenomenon of migration to Israel via public activity and legal representation of various groups of migrants, such as migrant workers, migrant children and asylum seekers.

Legal aid throughout the country, in all branches of civil law, including the execution procedure, social security, labor laws, consumers, family matters etc.

EDUCATIONAL RIGHTS CLINIC

Legal aid and representation in cases involving an infringement of rights of children and parents in the educational system: discrimination, charging unlawful amounts, screening tests, involvement of private entities in the schools, etc.

DETAINEES AND PRISONERS RIGHTS CLINIC

Legal aid and representation in cases involving the infringement of rights of detainees and prisoners, including harsh prison conditions, the lack of proper medical care, unlawful chaining, etc.

THE CLINIC FOR SOCIAL-ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGE

Examining the relationship between man and his environment, including increasing the transparency and participation of the public in matters involving the environment and health, aiding disadvantaged neighborhoods in their struggle against obstacles, initiating environmental legislation, promoting policies that secure the rights of the homeless, etc.

THE CLINIC FOR SOCIAL CHANGE

Promoting rights of disempowered communities, such as the elderly, crime victims, students with learning disabilities and children with special needs, mainly by filing precedential petitions to the supreme court or initiating and promoting legislation.
