Shlomit Yanisky Ravid specializes in the areas of labor law and intellectual property. Her doctoral thesis at Hebrew University deals with the question of employees' rights to patents and creations which they have created and invented. Shlomit completed studies in law with excellence in Tel Aviv University and was on the deans list during each of the years of study. In addition, Shlomit completed studies in psychology and life sciences with excellence in Bar Ilan University. Shlomit established and is the director of the Ono Comparative Legal Research Center. The Center focuses on comparative research, and operates in cooperation with the Swiss Institute of Comparative Law in Lausanne and other international institutes such as the International Labor Organization. Shlomit is also the director of the Center for Working Women and the Center for Employees' Rights, both at OAC, which provide legal advice for employees whose rights were violated. Shlomit is also an active lawyer in the field of labor law. She is a full time faculty member of the Ono Academic College Faculty of Law, and visiting lecturer at Bar Ilan University.
