Iddo Porat is a law professor at the Academic Center of law and Business, Israel. He is currently a visiting professor at San Diego Law School. He graduated from the Hebrew University, magna cum laude (1998); Clerked for the honorable Justice Dalia Dorner at the Israeli Supreme Court (1999), and earned his LL.M (2000) and J.S.D (2004) at Stanford Law School under the supervision of Thomas Grey. Among his publications are Who is Afraid of Channel 7?, Co-authored with Issi Rosen-Zvi, 38 Stanford Journal of International Law 79 (2002); The Dual Model of Balancing: A Model for the Proper Scope of Balancing in Constitutional Law, 27 Cardozo Law Review 1393 (2006); and On the Jehovah Witnesses Cases, Balancing Tests, Indirect infringement of Rights and Multiculturalism:  A Proposed Model for Three Kinds of Multicultural Claims,1 Law and Ethics of Human Rights 429 (2007). His recent article American Balancing and German Proportionality: The Historical Origins (co-authored with Dr. Moshe Cohen Eliya) was chosen to be presented in the inaugural meeting of the Harvard-Stanford International Junior Faculty Forum (October 2008).
